Shane D. Plummer – Owner / President

Shane is a versatile entrepreneur with extensive experience across multiple industries. As a second-generation horseman, his deep-rooted passion for the equine world has shaped his leadership roles and long-term success in the business.
In the horse industry, Shane’s accomplishments are extensive. He has sold millions of dollars’ worth of horses and possesses deep expertise in genetics and mating selection. Shane has lectured and advised internationally, sharing his knowledge with breeders, stallion owners, and industry professionals across the globe. His commitment to the industry is reflected in his service on the National Cutting Horse Association’s Stallion Owners & Breeders Committee and his certification as an Appraiser with the American Society of Equine Appraisers.
Shane has established and maintained international markets for stallion services on six continents, with continuous operations in Australia, Europe, and Brazil. His efforts have generated more than $3 million in direct economic impact within the Australian market alone.
Shane is the co-founder of a pioneering technology platform, Legendary Stakes, designed to transform the Western Performance Horse Industry by creating cross-discipline opportunities and new forms of diversification. The platform delivers innovative value for stallion owners, breeders, and competitors across 14 performance disciplines.
In real estate, Shane’s career began through a series of partnerships that provided invaluable hands-on experience. These early ventures laid the foundation for his success in acquiring, renovating, and selling more than 400 properties in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. He has also managed a rental portfolio exceeding 100 properties, experience he humorously describes as earning a “PhD in what not to do.”
Shane holds a Bachelor of Science in Chinese with a minor in Business from the University of Utah. He is an Eagle Scout, a recipient of multiple national academic awards, and served a two-year mission in Taiwan, further strengthening his cultural and linguistic fluency. Throughout his life, he has consistently held leadership roles marked by stability, accountability, and long-term vision.
As a competitor, Shane has earned more than $350,000 in NCHA competition and achieved numerous top placements and championships. He credits much of his growth to the mentorship and example of his father, who remains his greatest influence in the horse business, and to his parents, who instilled in him the values of entrepreneurship, discipline, and hard work.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Shane breeds fancy pigeons and races homing pigeons, aligning closely with his lifelong interest in genetics and animal husbandry. In 2026, he was inducted as a Master Breeder into the National Modena Club. Established in 1936, fewer than 40 Master Breeders have been recognized in the club’s nearly 90-year history, making the honor particularly meaningful.
Central to Shane’s life are his faith, family, and commitment to community service. His Savior, Jesus Christ, is his foremost priority, followed by his devotion to his family—his high school sweetheart and wife, Jane, and their five children. He is dedicated to making a positive impact in his community and in every endeavor he undertakes.
If you’ve ever received an email response from his phone, the signature line simply reads, “Sent by an Awesome Dude.” Shane believes in finding joy in every situation and never taking himself too seriously.
